About Accept
Accept received German national attention in 1976 after a memorable performance at the Rock Amrhein Festival. But it was only in 1981, with the additional of drummer Stefan Kaufmann and the release of I'm a Rebel that Accept made it to the fore of the metal scene. Their success across Europe did not carry over the United States however, and Accept disbanded in 1989. Later reunions and comebacks still saw some success coming their way, until final breakup in 1996.
